Rules & Guidelines

Please read all rules carefully before participating. By submitting a project, you agree to comply with the following guidelines.

Team Formation
  • Teams may consist of 1–4 participants.

  • Solo participation is allowed.

  • Participants may only be on one team.

Cross-Posting & Multiple Events
  • Projects may not be cross-posted to other hackathons.

  • You may not submit the same project to another event occurring during the same timeframe.

  • All work must be created specifically for this hackathon.

Project Requirements

Code Submission
  • All projects must include working code.

  • Submissions must include a public GitHub repository link.

  • The repository must include:

    • Setup and installation instructions

    • Clear documentation in a README

    • Proper attribution of tools, libraries, and external resources used

Frameworks & AI Tools
  • There are no restrictions on frameworks, libraries, or technologies used.

  • Use of LLMs, ChatGPT, and other AI tools is permitted.

  • Any external tools, APIs, or AI assistance must be clearly disclosed in the README.

  • Teams must clearly distinguish between what they built during the event and what external tools generated or supported.

  • Projects should represent meaningful work completed during the hackathon timeframe.

Tracks & Challenges
  • Each team may submit to only one track.

  • Teams may participate in any available challenge within that track.

  • Each team may submit only one project.

Hacking Timeline

Participants may work on their projects only during the official hacking window:

February 28th, 11:00 AM – March 1st, 11:00 AM

  • No pre-built projects.

  • No previously developed codebases.

  • Brainstorming prior to the event is allowed, but coding must begin at the official start time.

Judging

  • Judging will take place online.

  • Winners will be invited to present their projects.

  • Judging criteria will be outlined separately on Devpost.

Eligibility

  • Open to currently enrolled students from any school.

  • Mentors, volunteers, and organizers are not eligible to compete.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification at the discretion of the organizers.
